DEALSIGHT AI, INC. COOKIE POLICY
VERSION 1.0
LAST REVISED ON: June 29, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Dealsight AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), uses
cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, and similar technologies ("Cookies") when you visit or use the website
located at https://dealsightai.app (the "Site") and the software, artificial intelligence, document processing,
reporting, and related services made available by Company through the Site (collectively, the "Service").
This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Capitalized terms not defined
here have the meanings given in those documents.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as
local storage and session storage, which store information in your browser. Cookies and similar technologies help
websites function, remember preferences, keep users signed in, understand usage, and improve security.
Cookies may be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain until they expire
or you delete them). Cookies may be set by us ("first-party" cookies) or by service providers acting on our behalf
("third-party" cookies).
2. HOW WE USE COOKIES
We group the technologies we use into the categories below.
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These Cookies are required for the Service to operate. They enable core functionality such as authentication, security,
fraud prevention, load balancing, and remembering your cookie preference. Because they are essential, they are always
active and do not require your consent under applicable law.
Examples include:
Authentication cookies set by Clerk (our identity provider), such as session and client cookies used to keep you signed
in, protect your account, and support organization switching.
A local storage entry that records your cookie consent choice (`dealsight.cookie_consent`) so we do not ask you on every
visit.
2.2 Analytics and Performance Cookies
These Cookies help us understand how the Service is used, measure performance, and improve the product. They are used
only if you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. If you click "Reject," we do not load optional analytics tools.
When enabled, we may use:
PostHog — product analytics, event tracking, and (when separately enabled in our configuration) masked session replay.
PostHog may set cookies such as identifiers prefixed with `ph_` to distinguish browsers and sessions.
Vercel Web Analytics — aggregated traffic and page-view metrics for the Site and Service.
Vercel Speed Insights — performance metrics such as Core Web Vitals to help us improve load times.
We configure analytics to avoid collecting deal content, document text, report text, or other confidential diligence
material in event properties. Session replay, where enabled, masks inputs and sensitive UI regions.
2.3 Security and Reliability Diagnostics
To maintain reliability and investigate errors, we use Sentry for error monitoring and limited, heavily masked diagnostic
recording on error conditions. Sentry may use cookies or similar storage to correlate error reports. These tools support
security and service stability rather than advertising or marketing profiling.
2.4 Similar Browser Storage Used by the Service
Some features use browser storage that is not a cookie but serves a similar purpose:
Guest data room access — when you open a counterparty invite, we store a short-lived access token in session storage
(`dealsight_guest_session`) so you can view authorized documents without creating a full account. This storage is cleared
when your browser session ends.
Analytics deduplication — if you accept analytics cookies, we may store a small local flag to avoid counting the same
signup event more than once.
3. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
We use service providers that may set Cookies when you use the Service, including:
Clerk — authentication and account management (https://clerk.com/legal/privacy)
PostHog — product analytics when you accept optional analytics (https://posthog.com/privacy)
Vercel — hosting, web analytics, and speed insights when you accept optional analytics (https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics (https://sentry.io/privacy/)
These providers process information according to their own policies and our agreements with them. We require them to use
information only as needed to provide services to Company.
4. YOUR CHOICES
When you first visit the Site, a banner at the bottom of the page lets you Accept or Reject optional analytics cookies.
Essential cookies remain active either way so the Service can function.
You can change your browser settings to block or delete Cookies. Blocking strictly necessary Cookies may prevent you from
signing in or using parts of the Service.
To withdraw analytics consent after accepting, clear site data for dealsightai.app in your browser or contact us at
info@dealsightai.net and we will explain how to reset your preference.
5. DO NOT TRACK
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to these signals. We
treat a "Reject" selection in our cookie banner as your choice not to use optional analytics cookies.
6. UPDATES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by posting the
updated policy on the Site or by other reasonable means. The "Last revised" date at the top indicates when this policy
was last updated.
